Ergonomics – Barrel Sauna Comfort
Comfort is extremely important when investing in an outdoor sauna barrel. Smaller barrels use fewer materials, so they can be less expensive; however, there is a big tradeoff in comfort, with lower door height, less headroom, and lower-quality benches. Small barrels also have a tighter arc that compromises bather posture, prevents standing upright, and requires one to duck upon entry and exit.
The SaunaLife Model EE8G is an impressive 7’7” in diameter and 6’7” in length so you can stand comfortably. Due to the large diameter, its benches can be ergonomically contoured and formfitting. The generous barrel arc can support a generous arched backrest for true lumbar support and a natural seating position. Silky-smooth seating is made from beautiful Thermo-Aspen that is 50% thicker than in lesser saunas. This knot-free wood feels comfortable against your skin and has ideal thermal properties for a sauna so it will never be too hot against your skin.
An 8mm tempered glass front wall drenches the sauna with natural light and further accentuates the incredible spaciousness of the interior. The barrel exterior is made from full-length spruce staves that are thermally enhanced for greater strength, dimensional stability, and weather resistance. Secure and level footing is assured with the addition of a fitted floor.

“Thermo-Spruce” means that the wood was naturally treated with pressurized heat and steam so it can last up to 2 times longer than Cedar wood! Every SaunaLife barrel begins with industry-leading 1.65” thick full-length Thermo-Spruce staves for better durability and exceptional thermal resistance (R-value). This chemical-free, eco-friendly wood is dimensionally stable and ideal for outdoor saunas.

Industry-leading 1-7/8” wide and 1/8” thick stainless-steel barrel bands compress and secure the massive staves. A watertight shingle kit (a must-have for an outdoor barrel sauna) with drip rails provides exceptional rainwater management and keeps bathers dry in any weather conditions. The EE8G includes dual floor drains – one is conveniently placed under the sauna heater for your water-tossing pleasure and a second drain is positioned near the door, where cold plunge or pool water may collect.
Illumination – Inside and out
Illuminating your barrel highlights the beauty of the wood and further enhances your sauna experience. SaunaLife provides an elegant dotless white LED lighting system that is Wi-Fi app-based that allows infinite adjustment. A hand-held remote control is also provided for on/off/dim operation. SaunaLife’s white LED fixture is heat and water-certified (IP67) and is dotless for an even, uninterrupted glow. Delivery Area
Orders are fulfilled within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states). At this time, we are unable to process orders for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. territories, or international destinations. Curbside Delivery
Most deliveries — especially for larger items like saunas — are curbside only. Carriers are not able to bring items inside your home, garage, or interior spaces. We recommend arranging assistance in advance if you anticipate needing help moving the item.
LTL Freight (Oversized Items)
Larger products such as indoor and outdoor saunas are typically shipped via LTL Freight. In these cases:
- The carrier will contact you ahead of time to arrange a delivery window.
- A signature is required at the time of delivery.
- Please ensure someone is available to inspect and sign for the shipment.
Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, tracking information will be sent to you via email. Tracking details are provided by the fulfilling brand or their designated carrier. If you have not received tracking information within 4 business days of your order, feel free to contact us and we will follow up on your behalf.
Damaged Items at Delivery
We strongly recommend inspecting your delivery before signing. If the package shows visible damage:
- Photograph the packaging clearly before accepting or opening the shipment.
- If damage is significant, you may refuse the delivery and note it on the Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Contact us at sales@saunareserve.com within 24 hours with your photos and order number.
We will do our best to assist you in coordinating with the brand to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Please be aware that damage claims and resolutions are ultimately handled by the brand or manufacturer. We will actively support and advocate for you throughout this process.
As an authorized retailer for the brands we carry, Sauna Reserve acts as a point of contact to help guide you through the return, refund, or warranty process. Please note that because products are fulfilled and supported directly by the brand or manufacturer, all final decisions regarding returns, refunds, and warranty claims are made by them in accordance with their own policies.

General Return Guidelines

- Return requests are typically accepted within 30 days of delivery.
- Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging — including all accessories, documentation, and packaging materials.
- A restocking fee may apply depending on the brand's policy. This is assessed by the brand, not by Sauna Reserve.
- Used, modified, or incomplete items are generally not accepted for return.

If you experience a product issue that may be covered under warranty:

- We will connect you with the appropriate brand support team or submit the claim on your behalf.
- The brand will assess the issue and determine the appropriate resolution — whether that is a replacement part, repair, or replacement unit.
